About Alex Rodriguez
Alex Rodriguez is widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball players of all time, with a 20 year career that includes 14 All-Star appearances and three American League MVP Awards and a World Championship in 2009 with the New York Yankees. Mr. Rodriguez has also begun to use his extensive knowledge of baseball off the field as a color commentator for FOX Sports. He received critical praise for his commentating throughout the 2015 playoffs and World Series.
Perhaps less widely known, Mr. Rodriguez is the Founder and CEO of A-ROD Corp, a private holding company with businesses in the U.S. and Latin America. Under his leadership, Mr. Rodriguez has turned A-ROD Corp into a significant investment vehicle focusing on several growth sectors including real estate, high-end fitness centers, and automotive dealerships. His long-term vision, coupled with his ability to bring highly experienced management teams together and his willingness to raise capital, has built a track record of positive returns for investors and partners.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Rodriguez actively pursues specific philanthropic initiatives. A primary focus is the Boys and Girls Club where he spent his youth and where he has dedicated the last 20 years volunteering, supporting, and helping to create life-changing environments for at-risk youth and under-served communities.
Mr. Rodriguez played his final game with the New York Yankees on Friday August 12th, against the Tampa Bay Rays at Yankee Stadium. To honor the retirement of one of the greatest players in MLB history, FOX broadcast the game to a national television audience; the game was available for live and on-demand streaming as well.
After 20 years on the field, Mr. Rodriguez now serves as a senior adviser to Hal Steinbrenner of the New York Yankees.
