Fenty signs with speaker’s bureau as education reformer
By The Reliable Source
Adrian Fenty’s post-mayoral life is taking shape: While he looks for a full-time job, he has signed with Greater Talent Network, a Manhattan speakers bureau that represents Danny Glover, Christopher Hitchens, Michael Moore and Newark Mayor Cory Booker. Since losing the primary in September, Fenty has capitalized on his attempts to overhaul D.C. schools with Michelle Rhee — now he’s being marketed as a “dynamic and captivating speaker” and “national leader in the area of urban education reform,” reports our colleague Mike DeBonis. Since stepping down as schools chief, Rhee has already jumped on the education-reform train; her StudentsFirst organization is expected to announce this week national agendas for state and local politicians.
