He hasn’t retired from entertaining.

The perennially jovial former NBA superstar filled Gallagher-Iba Arena with laughter during a Tuesday night speaking engagement arranged by the Oklahoma State University Student Government Association Speakers Board.

“What’s up, Oklahoma Sooners?” O’Neal said when he took the stage.

“I’m sorry. Wrong place. Just kidding. Just wanted to see if you are awake.”

O’Neal then congratulated OSU for winning the WNIT and, joined on stage by OSU men’s basketball coach Travis Ford and former Cowboy guard Keiton Page, took part in a question-and-answer session that lasted almost an hour.

Initially, questions were asked by Ford and Page.
