Such branded entertainment works better than traditional television spots, Mr. Zuiker said, because “I’m TiVo-ing through the commercials you guys are spending money on.”

He added that he wanted to do a movie about Budweiser because “there’s a great story about Prohibition” and how Anheuser-Busch survived it.
