IF P.J. O’ROURKE tells you he’s read your book, he has. The political satirist was having lunch at Michael’s with his agent, Greater Talent Network CEO Don Epstein when fellow diner Tom Brokaw asked the read-aholic O’Rourke if he’d consumed his latest book, “The Time of Our Lives.” O’Rourke told Brokaw he hadn’t, but added that at least he hadn’t given him “a Washington read” — code for when VIPs head directly to the index to see if they’re mentioned.
