When she’s not raising hackles, she’ll be “Raising McCain.”
Meghan McCain, the outspoken daughter of Sen. John McCain, is host of her own new cable talk show and said she plans to use the platform to tackle hot-button topics that impact her generation.
Each episode will have a theme derived directly from her life, McCain said.
“It’s a talk show, but we film it documentary-style — our studio is the world,” McCain told the Daily News about the show, which debuts Saturday at 10 p.m. on the new channel Pivot.
One topic, for instance, is privacy issues, She and journalist Michael Moynihan compete to see who can dig up the most Internet dirt on the other one — and he quickly digs up an embarrassing, busty self-portrait of McCain on Twitter.
Other topics include feminism and how millennial veterans are treated compared to previous generations.
“That one came from my little brother,” McCain said of Jimmy McCain, who served in the Marines.
“I don’t watch traditional talk shows. I think they’re sort of a dated format,” said McCain, a familiar Republican talking head who, like her father, is frequently slammed by conservatives and liberals for her political opinions.
