One of America’s most decorated war fighters and leading political figures spoke in Bozeman Monday, sharing what he says is a re-visioning of America.
Retired four star General and former candidate for President Wesley Clark appeared as part of the school’s spring Leadership Institute.
During a press conference this afternoon, Clark said the key to America’s security lies here at home.
He quoted President Bill Clinton when he said it’s time to put America back to work. He said that includes making government and business work.
Clark was extremely candid when he said he’s tired of the same old political rhetoric coming from the GOP presidential campaigns, bashing government programs and government spending.
Clark said the fact is that federal budgets are tight and critical infrastructure like airports, bridges and highways are not being properly maintained.
But Clark wasn’t all gloom and doom. In fact, sounding very much like an experienced campaigner, Clark struck an optimistic tone as well, saying that the country has chance to recalibrate and revision the future.
