GTN Speakers on Real Time with Bill Maher, Meet the Press, The Tavis Smily Show and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

GTN speakers were everywhere this week, appearing on several popular television programs, discussing topics ranging from politics and the president, to science and miracles.

Peggy Noonan and Jonathan Alter appeared together on Meet the Press in a roundtable discussion. The panel weighed in on President Obama's busy week: a historic pick for the Supreme Court; and on the heels of the failed terror attack by the Pakistani-Taliban, a visit from the leader of Afghanistan.

On Thursday, May 14th, Real Time with Bill Maher featured GTN speakers Sebastian Junger, Mayor Cory Booker and S.E. Cupp. The trio discussed current US hot-topics such as Elena Kagan's nomination, the oil-spill in the gulf, and the situation in Afghanistan, among other topics.

Switching gears, Rebecca Skloot appeared on The Tavis Smiley Show to discuss her New York Times best-seller The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Skloot discussed the decade-long journey to write the book, and the impact and importance of Henrietta Lacks's story.

The Tuohy Family appeared on the season finale of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Sunday, May 16th, at 8 pm. NFL Star Michael Oher and his adoptive family, the Touhy's, were the “Get On the Bus” volunteers who helped with the rebuilding of the Williams' family home. As always, the Tuohy's were an inspirational team, sharing their message of love, hope and miracles.
