Former Congressman Ron Paul gives his advice to the young people of America saying, “be curious” in this exclusive clip.
What advice can you give young people?
Be curious. Curious enough to find out what the freedom philosophy is all about and not accept the status quo, the conventional wisdom on economics or foreign policy because that’s all they hear is the status quo and the current understanding of what we’ve been doing. It is self-education if nothing else to find out what freedom really means, what individual liberty all about, how the Federal Reserve works. Once you get a grasp of all that I don’t think anyone needs to say “well this is what I’m going to do with it, I’m going to run for Congress of I’m going to do this. I think it’s the understanding of the message and being convinced that there will always be a job out there. No matter what your talents are, there’s something that you can do. Some people become teachers some people become writers, some people run for politics. To me the most important thing is to be curious enough to study and understand what our freedom philosophy is all about, which emphasizes the importance of the individual. Its individual liberty that we must be concerned about and not dependency on the government.
