Many marketers give credit to Seth Godin for how they think about marketing in the 21st century. Godin has written 17 bestselling books that have been translated into more than thirty languages. American Way Magazine calls him, “America’s Greatest Marketer,” and he writes what may be the most popular marketing blog in the world. He focuses on marketing, leadership and the way ideas spread.
Recently, Godin partnered up with Skillshare.com, a global community of lifelong learners, to release a lifetime of marketing insights as an online class called “Modern Marketing Workshop.” Focusing on 50 ideas that impact marketing in a post-TV world, the interactive class will teach students a framework to make the right decisions, measure the right metrics and fight for what matters.
I caught up with Godin to ask him a few questions on the future of education, the current state of the marketing world, and how to thrive in the new economy.
