Reza Aslan & Gideon Yago

Exclusive Representation by Greater Talent Network

Reza Aslan is the author of the acclaimed "No god but God: the Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam." Praised by the New York Times as a "grippingly narrated and thoughtfully examined... literate, accessible introduction to Islam," "No god but God" has established Aslan as the most dynamic voice of liberal Islam in the US.

In 1979, at age seven, Reza Aslan fled Iran with his family amidst the chaos of a revolution. Today, he is one of the nation`s most respected experts on Islam and the Middle East, a scholar and media consultant on issues of religion and politics. Aslan is a Middle East commentator for Marketplace and Muslim Affairs Analyst for CBS News, as well as a contributing writer for the LA Times. In "No god but God," Aslan argues that the current conflicts in the Middle East are not the result of a "clash of civilizations" between Islam and the West, but rather the consequence of an "Islamic Reformation" occurring within the Muslim world, an internal struggle to define the future of this magnificent yet misunderstood faith and to harmonize its traditions and values with contemporary ideals of democracy and human rights.

Gideon Yago is recognized as the face of current events to millions of young adults stemming from his many years as the on-air news correspondent for MTV. Yago was at the forefront of the historic MTV/MySpace Presidential Debates for the 2008 Election season as well as MTV's live coverage moments after war in Iraq broke out in March of 2003. As part of that coverage, he traveled to Kuwait City to film "Diary of Gideon in Kuwait." He returned to the Middle East in the fall of 2003 to report on how life had changed for young Iraqis and American soldiers stationed there in "Diary of Gideon in Baghdad."

In addition to covering the war in Iraq for MTV, he was part of the award-winning coverage in the wake of 9/11, a key correspondent for "Choose or Lose" campaign and hosted specials on drug addiction, bias crime, sex laws, gun violence and other political topics. He has also interviewed some of the country`s foremost leaders, including President George W. Bush, then-Secretary of State Colin Powell, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Ambassador L.
