Jim Morris

Nation's leading "political parrotist"

Political impressionist/satirist Jim Morris has all the authority figures headed for the hills. The rubber-faced Morris has become famous as a living political cartoon, rendering his subjects with dead-on accuracy. Somehow, Morris hilariously captures all of the attitude, optimism, and befuddled essence of our nation's leaders.
The New Yorker recently hailed Morris as: "the country's leading political impressionist." Through four Presidential administrations, as politicians come and go, Jim Morris' comedy endures. "I used to think I’d be a lame duck comedian right along with the President."
Jim has always been interested in politics, humor, and impersonating authority figures.  He discovered the potential powers of his craft while attending high school, where one day pretending to be the principal he issued an "unauthorized" early dismissal over the public address system. That day all the students were indeed dismissed much earlier than Morris.

Audiences rave over Morris' spot-on comic versions of today's major newsmakers, newscasters, and entertainers. Morris sets his sights on today's most prominent personalities in politics and popular culture.

He goes far beyond mimicry, and well into the realm of the absurd.  His critically acclaimed, one-man press conferences showcase his eerily precise impressions of President George W. Bush, with visits from former Presidents Clinton, Bush and Reagan, as well as past and future "wanna-be"s Kerry, Gore, Gingrich, Sharpton, Schwarzenegger, Harry Reid, Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Phil, and many others.

Morris' ability to fully submerge himself within each character enables him to envelop their particular political beliefs, moral ideologies, and personality quirks.

He has starred in comedy specials airing on ABC, CBS, Cinemax and HBO, appeared on the Tonight Show, CNN's Crossfire, and Larry King Live, and he provides the voices for "The Ex-Presidents," the critically acclaimed cartoon on Saturday Night Live.

Morris has also triumphed in several face-to-face encounters with the principal subjects of his humor.  Scenes of battle have included Washington D.C.’s historic Ford's Theater ("A Gala Salute to the President"), the legendary White House Correspondents Dinner, and even…up close and personal inside the Oval Office!
