Diane Farr

Former host of MTV's Loveline, Actress, Entrepreneur, and Author of The Girl Code

Exclusive Representation by Greater Talent Network

Diane Farr is most recently known for her trifecta of civil service jobs on television as an FBI agent, firefighter and detective, but we knew her first as a sex therapist on MTV’s Loveline. What you may not know is that she is also a published author, yoga instructor, general contractor, sponsored snow-boarder, world traveler, former night-club owner, maximum security men’s prison teacher and owner of a greeting card company.

Farr, who according to The Boston Globe, “Looks like Barbie and talks like Ken” has brought her stunning beauty and unique sense of humor to the all male cast of NUMB3RS, which is the most watched television program on Friday nights averaging 17 million viewers a week. On this CBS one-hour drama, Farr portrays FBI behavioral specialist Megan Reeves — a woman who comes from money but relishes carrying a gun. Megan wields her master’s degree as an entrance ticket into the world of high-end adrenaline, where she thrives.

Just prior to joining NUMB3RS, Farr starred on the critically-acclaimed FX television show Rescue Me as the only female firefighter Laura Miles. As The New York Times states, “She (Farr) eloquently portrays the struggles of being the lone woman in a highly masculine work environment while also capturing the subtle power particular to that position” and The Washington Post adds, “Farr has made Laura into a scrappy woman who could probably take one or two of the men in a fight, as well as a girlfriend who’s fury can reach operatic proportions.”

Farr previously starred opposite Denis Leary in the critical darling, The Job, as well as in The Drew Carey Show and Roswell, but it was Farr’s work as the sole female on the breakout hit for MTV, Loveline, that made her a household name. Her whisky-soaked voice offered council in 200 episodes of this cult phenomenon, which made Farr one of the recognizable champions of women for generation X and Y.

Farr’s first book The Girl Code, a comic look at single women in the 21st century, was released on Valentine’s Day 2001. It has since been sold to seven countries in five languages. Diane has also written articles for Glamour, Jane, Esquire, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Soma and Self.

At the lecture podium, Farr offers audiences the same insight, candor and humor that mark everything she does. Discussing everything from relationship hangups to overcoming addiction and sexual abuse, she presents a comprehensive perspective on life, love and health–while zestfully dishing out advice to inquisitive audience members.

Diane co-founded the greeting card company OtherAnnouncements.com. After sending out hundreds of announcements for her own engagement, Diane found herself needing another card when her fiancé abruptly called off their wedding. Farr’s ‘Engaged’ card was well received, but six weeks later her ‘Single’ card was such a hit it launched a company. Farr personally runs OtherAnnouncements.com, which has since been featured in numerous magazines and talk shows including Oprah. Farr has also wrote and sold a television series based on her personal experience, appropriately called, Dumped.
